After two reported fires yesterday which turned out to be nothing, Fairmount Rescue 1 was requested as the Rapid Intervention Team to 518 Woods Rd in the Solvay Fire District. Dispatched at 16:02hrs, Rescue 1 went enroute at 16:03 with 8  and was second due unit. Upon arrival, Rescue 1 pulled around Solvay Engine 22 which was hitting the hydrant. Rescue 1 pulled down a street directly on side A, and established a staging area for the RIT. Being second due, the team split. Four members did a full 360 degree check for hazards while the other four assisted Solvays engine crew with attack and overhaul. Command held with a signal 98 or minor fire. Fairmount assisted in picking up and cleared within 45 minutes.
