Several Western Section departments have formed an Engine Crew that is utilized during the daytime hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, the least likely time to have responders for calls that are received during those hours. Each of the 5 Fire Departments involved have their own day that they have a fully staffed Engine ready to respond to calls within seconds of a dispatch to any of the 5 fire districts covered within the program (Fairmount, Taunton, Howlett Hill, Onondaga Hill, or Camillus). There is always an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), and Interior Structural Firefighters aboard at all times when the Engine is in service so that it is able to respond to both Fire and Medical related Calls.
The Engine 94 rotation is as follows:
- Monday – Camillus Fire Department
- Tuesday – Howlett Hill Fire Department
- Wednesday – Fairmount Fire Department
- Thursday – Taunton Fire Department
- Friday – Onondaga Hill Fire Department
